Computers and the Internet are the key to the world of information in which we live. People talk less and chat more on the Internet. Online games are becoming more popular than anyone could imagine. Chat rooms are always full of people and emails are the preferred method of sending messages. Messengers are becoming the preferred method of speaking around the world. Without a doubt, the earth has become flat.
Computers, programming, searches, the Internet, downloads, blogs, websites, all these words are becoming so common that no one can imagine that it all started not many years ago. Today, in all ages, this is equally popular. The latest innovations appear every day and companies mint money online. All of this was never predicted, but it has become a reality.
Is contact between people suffering because of the Internet? Are we looking for unnecessary information and overloading ourselves? When we didn’t have so much information available, we could live, right? So why do we search everything online? Does that improve our life? In the early days, people took the time to write letters to each other. Now you’re sending an email, which somehow doesn’t have that personal touch. The language is also suffering due to the new jargon of the cyber world.
Sometimes I imagine people living in a peaceful area far from our civilization. Give them computers and connect them to the Internet. Won’t they lose all the peace they had before?
